I know I speak for all of us when I express how incredibly proud I am of our guys and of Coach Henderson and his staff for the job they've done this season under extraordinary circumstances. The resiliency this team has shown is truly incredible and they have been a joy to support all year long, even if their flair for dramatic come-from-behind wins has caused more than a couple spikes in blood pressure.
Congratulations to the team on their championship in the Tallahassee Regional, and good luck against Vanderbilt in the Nashville Super Regional. Let's go win two more!
In Eugene, Oregon, the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships kick off this week and we've got more Bulldogs than ever competing for national titles. Men's competition begins today, and we've got a full 10 entries in a variety of events, one of the strongest contingents our program has seen before. Add that to our competitors on the women's side who start up on Thursday, and we've got a chance to have an incredible showing in Oregon.
A big congratulations goes out to Coach Dudley and all of our student-athletes for their success this season, and we wish them good luck in this final round of competition. We'll be cheering for National Championships all week!
While our focus this week is on our two programs still in play, it's never too early to look ahead to one of the most anticipated football seasons our school has seen. With excitement building to the 2018 season and Coach Moorhead's debut as head coach of the Bulldogs, we've launched a #MoorCowbell campaign celebrating the excitement all summer long, headquartered at www.hailstate.com/moorcowbell.
In February, we announced that we lowered season ticket prices in several sections of Davis Wade Stadium, affording new opportunities for those who have not been season ticket holders in the past. As we count down the days to kickoff, make sure you'll be joining us at Davis Wade this fall for all the excitement.
We appreciate what you do for Mississippi State Athletics and want to encourage you to get others involved. There are three things you can do to help the athletic department at Mississippi State reach its desired goals:
1. Buy Season Tickets
2. Financially Support the Bulldog Club
3. Get Others To Do The Same
Thanks for taking the time to read this update.
Hail State!
