MSU Launches #MoorCowbell Campaign, Season Tickets On Sale

STARKVILLE, Miss. – One of the most anticipated seasons in Mississippi State football history kicks off in 100 days. To coincide with the excitement of the first year of the Joe Moorhead era, MSU has launched the #MoorCowbell season ticket campaign at HailState.com/MoorCowbell.
Season tickets for the 2018 Bulldog season start at $200 and can be purchased at HailState.com/MoorCowbell, by calling 1-888-GO-DAWGS or in person at the MSU Athletic Ticket Office on the first floor of the Bryan Athletic Administration Building (288 Lakeview Drive), Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The #MoorCowbell season ticket campaign will feature frequent digital content on MSU platforms focused on the pageantry and tradition of Bulldog football. In February, MSU announced a season ticket price decrease in several sections of Davis Wade Stadium, including some lower east side sections as well as much of the upper levels. Moorhead, the 2016 and 2017 National Offensive Coordinator of the Year, takes the reins of one of the Southeastern Conference's most successful programs this decade. State has reached a bowl game a school-record eight consecutive years, won three straight bowls and is the SEC West's second-winningest team since 2014 (34 victories).
The 33rd head football coach in Bulldog history, Moorhead just completed a speaking tour across the Southeast, generating excitement on his "championship standard" mantra centered on winning the SEC Championship and competing for a national championship.
"Mississippi State is no longer 'The Little Engine That Could'," Moorhead told the packed crowds. "Don't be scared to talk about it. We talk about it with our team every day. Attitude reflects leadership. If we want them to believe it, we have to believe it, too."
The Bulldogs have been ranked as high as No. 11 nationally by some preseason publications. State returns 17 starters, its entire starting defensive line, four of five starters on the offensive line and a veteran backfield led by senior quarterback Nick Fitzgerald. Fitzgerald, a National Player of the Year candidate, is one of only four quarterbacks in SEC history to throw for over 4,400 yards and rush for over 2,400 yards in a career.
Summer workouts begin next week, and MSU will officially report for preseason camp on Thursday, Aug. 2 before beginning practice the following day. The Moorhead era officially kicks off on Sept. 1 against Stephen F. Austin in Davis Wade Stadium.
