Lamar Peters Named the SEC's POW on Feb. 26.
Peters Earned Two POW Awards On Monday

STARKVILLE, Miss. – Coming off an outstanding week for Mississippi State, Lamar Peters was tagged the SEC Co-Player of the Week.
Following an overtime battle against South Carolina on Saturday, Peters totaled 5 of his team's 10 points in overtime that helped secure the victory, and he finished with 19.
On Tuesday at Texas A&M, he tallied 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 15 points as the Bulldogs won their first game in College State.
In his last two outings, Peters totaled 34 points, 12 assists and 6 steals. On the year, he leads MSU with 109 assists. He is currently fifth in the SEC in both assists and steals within the SEC.
Peters joins Tyson Carter and Nick Weatherspoon for the third SEC honor of the season.
In addition, Peters was named Collegesportsmadness.com player of the week.
"I'm just trying to improve every game," the New Orleans native said. "It's such an honor to be recognized, but more than anything, we are winning and doing everything we can to get to the NCAA Tournament."
MSU is 21-8 and 9-7 in SEC play. On Tuesday, the Bulldogs welcome No. 19 Tennessee to Humphrey Coliseum. Tip is set for 6 p.m. on the SEC Network.
