A national champion on the travel ball circuit and a top recruit from the state of Alabama will join Mississippi State softball next season as Vann Stuedeman announced the signing of outfielder Brylie St. Clair.

STARKVILLE – A national champion on the travel ball circuit and a top recruit from the state of Alabama will join Mississippi State softball next season as Vann Stuedeman announced the signing of outfielder Brylie St. Clair.
"It was a winter clinic that Brylie caught coach (Tyler) Bratton's eye," Stuedeman said. "He was immediately impressed with her coach-ability and footwork skills. Brylie will bring talented outfield play, savvy base running skills and a championship mentality to Starkville. She knows what it takes be a champion, just coming off the PGF National Championship along with fellow signee Madisyn Kennedy."
St. Clair is entering her senior season at Sand Rock High School and has racked up three First Team All-State honors and has helped the Wildcats to multiple championships.
"Mississippi State has always felt like home," St. Clair said. "From the first time I visited Nusz Park, I felt like I was part of a family. The traditions and history of this great school convinced me that I found my fit."
The Sand Rock, Alabama, native is coming off a strong junior season as she led the Wildcats at the plate with a .604 batting average. Sand Rock finished the season with a 14-12 record to win the Northeast Region Championship and finish runner-ups in area competition. St. Clair was named to the All-County, All-Area and All-Tournament teams, wrapping up the season with a First Team All-State selection.
Over her sophomore season, St. Clair helped the Wildcats to an 21-21-1 record behind her .599 average at the plate. The Wildcats finished as the 2017 County Championships before finishing runner-ups in area play. Once again, St. Clair was named to the All-County, All-Area, All-Area Tournament teams while adding a First Team All-State laurel.
As a freshman, St. Clair and Sand Rock closed the season with a 29-15 record to win the Area 13 Championship. St. Clair led the team at the plate with a .616 batting average to help bring home All-Area Most Valuable Player honors. She also added All-County and First Team All-State selections.
St. Clair is a member of the Birmingham Thunderbolts and has complied numerous top five finishes in some of the toughest travel ball tournaments in the country under head coach Rock Thompson, highlighted by winning 2018 16U Premier National Championship earlier this year.
A three-sport athlete, St. Clair has also earned letters in basketball and cheerleading at Sand Rock High School. St. Clair is also highly involved in community service volunteering time in multiple projects including camp supervisor, KTH Color Run and Earth Day Clean Up.
St. Clair is the daughter of Amy and Bert St. Clair. She has one younger brother, Slade. She intends to major in marketing once enrolled at Mississippi State.
