Carr, Storm to participate in 2018 SEC Career Tour

STARKVILLE–Mississippi State student-athletes Khristian Carr (volleyball) and Mitchell Storm (men's basketball) will travel to the Southeastern Conference's third-annual Career Tour in Atlanta from Nov. 27-29.
The goal of the career tour is to provide exposure for SEC student-athletes who are seeking career opportunities in various fields.
"I am looking forward to attending the SEC Career Tour this year," Carr said. "I plan to use this opportunity to develop and polish my professional and social skills, while also building meaningful relationships. As an upcoming graduate, I know this will help prepare me for job opportunities. Thank you to the SEC and MSU for the opportunity."
"I'm very excited for the opportunity to represent Mississippi State at the SEC Career Tour this year," Storm said. "I think it will provide experiences and connections that will be extremely beneficial to me when my playing days are over."
Carr and Storm are part of a group of 28 student-athletes from across the SEC at this year's Career Tour. The group is scheduled to visit the headquarters and meet with executives at several corporations in the Atlanta area including UPS, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, The Home Depot and the Atlanta Hawks organization.
Also included on the agenda is a dinner with SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey and presentations by Josh Foliart, former Arkansas football student-athlete and co-founder and CEO of the MULTIPLi Global, and Randy Hain, founder and president of Serviam Partners. Former Auburn swimming and diving student-athlete Beatriz Travalon and former Georgia women's basketball student-athlete Haley Clark will engage the group in a panel discussion on how the SEC Career Tour helped them during their job search process.
Carr is a senior majoring in communications with a concentration in broadcasting from Starkville. During the 2018 season, she has tallied 132 kills and 20 total blocks in 64 sets played.
Storm is a junior from Madison, Mississippi, majoring in business administration. Last season, he appeared in eight games, and saw time on the court versus Long Beach State earlier this season.
