Men’s Hoops Ascends to No. 15 in Both Polls

STARKVILLE – The Mississippi State men's basketball team continued its climb up the weekly polls and rose to No. 15 in the Associated Press and USA Today/Coaches Top 25 polls released Monday.
The Bulldogs are a consensus top 15 squad for the first time since Dec. 26, 2011 when Mississippi State was ranked No. 15 in the AP and No. 14 in the Coaches.
MSU has won its opening three games by an average of 24.7 points per game to extend its non-conference home winning streak to 17 consecutive games.
The Bulldogs are one of five SEC squads ranked inside the polls which include Tennessee (5), Auburn (8, 9), Kentucky (10) and LSU (19, 21).

Mississippi State takes on Arizona State in a meeting of 3-0 teams at the MGM Resorts Main Event on Monday. Tip time is scheduled for 10 p.m. CT from T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The game will be televised by ESPNU and streamed online through the WatchESPN app.
