State’s Harrison, Vozniak Complete Day Two Of Indiana Winter Invite

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – On the second day of action at the Indiana Winter Invite, the Mississippi State women's tennis duo of Madison Harrison and Khrystyna Vozniak went 2-0 in doubles and 0-2 in singles competition.
The day started with the senior Bulldog holding off Indiana's Madison Appel and Michelle McKamey 7-5. The MSU pair continued their hot streak with a 6-4 win against Colorado's Annabelle Andrinopoulos and Louise Ronaldson later in the day.
In singles action Sunday, Harrison was edged by Indiana's Appel 6-4, 6-4 in the Indiana Flight Draw. In the same draw, MSU's Vozniak dropped a tough three-set affair to Natalie Whalen of host Indiana 6-3, 3-6, 1-0(8).
On Monday, the tournament will finish with two rounds of doubles starting at 8 a.m. CT.
"Madison and Khrystyna have played two tough singles match and three doubles matches so far this weekend," head coach Daryl Greenan said. "It has been exactly what they need to help them prepare for the upcoming spring season. They were both limited due to injury in the fall and have done everything they can to prepare for competition this spring including competing hard here in Indiana. They have pulled off some clutch doubles wins and played some very competitive singles matches."
