Every other event this weekend is free, and luckily, there are still a limited number of tickets available at www.hailstate.com/tickets for football vs. LSU in Davis Wade on Saturday night. Kickoff is at 6 p.m. on ESPN, which means Dawg Walk will take place at 4 p.m. in The Junction, and I challenge all of you to be there and be loud from the moment our team steps off the bus until the final second of the game ticks by on the clock.
A reminder that not only will SEC Nation be airing live from The Junction Saturday morning from 9-11, but Paul Finebaum will broadcast his daily show on Friday afternoon from 2-6 on the SEC Nation set while tailgate setup is going on behind him beginning at 4 p.m. For three years running – the entire length of SEC Nation's existence – MSU has had the biggest crowd of the season for the popular SEC Network show, and I would love to make it four in a row this weekend. Let's show the country what being a Bulldog is all about.

COWBELL YELL THURSDAY, BULLDOG BASH FRIDAY
Joining hosts Matt Wyatt and Bob Carskadon, we're excited to have the school's all-time leading rusher Anthony Dixon back on campus as our special guest emcee. The program will include appearances by head coach Dan Mullen, defensive coordinator Todd Grantham and several of our players on the team. Admission is free, the first 500 in line receive free T-shirts, and Year of the Cowbell will be helping us give away cowbells to 50 students in attendance.
And on Friday, the Student Association will be putting on Bulldog Bash on Main Street in downtown Starkville, an annual free concert open to all. Festivities begin Friday afternoon, leading up to music from headliner DNCE Friday evening.
Filling out the packed weekend, Coach McFatrich and our volleyball team play three different matches at home this weekend as part of the Maroon Classic tournament, offering ample opportunity to get out and cheer on our young ladies. We play twice on Friday, hosting Jackson State at noon and North Texas at 7 p.m., then Saturday morning at 11 our Bulldogs welcome Southeastern to the court. All matches are free of charge and take place in the Newell-Grissom building, an easy and convenient walk from most tailgating areas. I hope to see you all there.
I've mentioned them several times now in this space, but our soccer team and its new staff with Coach Anagnost continue to be deserving of support and praise. Our Bulldogs navigated the non-conference portion of the schedule without blemish, earning a 6-0-1 record that included five wins here at home.
They begin SEC play this weekend, hitting the road and traveling to Arkansas Friday night before returning next Thursday to host Missouri in Starkville. I've been thrilled to see so much early success for Coach Anagnost and our young ladies and I'm looking forward to cheering them on for the rest of the season.
We appreciate what you do for Mississippi State Athletics and want to encourage you to get others involved. There are three things you can do to help the athletic department at Mississippi State reach its desired goals:
1. Buy Season Tickets
2. Financially Support the Bulldog Club
3. Get Others To Do The Same
Thanks for taking the time to read this update.
