Cowbell Yell Rescheduled for Sept. 14

STARKVILLE, Miss. – Due to the threat of inclement weather on Thursday evening, Cowbell Yell has been rescheduled for Thursday, Sept. 14 at 9 p.m. inside Davis Wade Stadium.
The event, sponsored by the MSU Student Association and the Department of Athletics, is free to the public. Fans are encouraged to bring their cowbells and enter through Gate F at the northwest corner of Davis Wade Stadium beginning at 8 p.m.
This year's pep rally will feature appearances by new play-by-play announcer Nail Prince, former MSU football player Anthony Dixon, the Famous Maroon Band, MSU football coaches and MSU spirit groups.
The event will be hosted by Matt Wyatt, former MSU quarterback and SuperTalk Mississippi sports radio host, and Bob Carskadon, HailStateBEAT digital media reporter.
The first 500 individuals in attendance will receive free t-shirts. Additionally, 1,000 free custom 2017 Cowbell Yell decals will be given away courtesy of The Year of the Cowbell, a Calhoun City-based company that manufactures the "Official Cowbell of MSU Athletics."
Fans can purchase Maroon Memories experiences for Cowbell Yell, including early entry passes and photos with featured speakers. Learn more at hailstate.com/memories.
