MSU Football Sept. 2 Season-Opener Set For 3 p.m. Kickoff on SEC Network

STARKVILLE, Miss. – Mississippi State opens its 118th season of football when it hosts Charleston Southern at 3 p.m. CT on Saturday, Sept. 2 live on SEC Network.
The league unveiled opening weekend kickoff times on Tuesday.
MSU's first three game times have all been set. The Bulldogs travel to Ruston, La., to face Louisiana Tech on Sept. 9 at 6:30 p.m. on the CBS Sports Network. MSU opens Southeastern Conference play against LSU at 6 p.m. on Sept. 16 in Davis Wade Stadium. That contest will be televised by either ESPN or ESPN2.
The remaining game times of 2017 will be unveiled over the course of the season.
The season-opener will be the first meeting between MSU and Charleston Southern. The Bucs have claimed back-to-back Big South titles and are the preseason co-favorite to win the league again.
