STARKVILLE, Miss. – Although dates, TV and times haven't been set, the SEC announced the 2018 men's basketball conference lineup on Thursday.
Mississippi State, under the direction of third-year coach Ben Howland, will have home and home series with Alabama, Missouri, Ole Miss, South Carolina and Vanderbilt. The Bulldogs, who finished 16-16 last season, will also host Arkansas, Auburn, Georgia and Tennessee, while traveling to Florida, LSU, Kentucky and Texas A&M.
MSU, which will announce its non-conference slate later this summer, posted a 6-12 SEC ledger a year ago and advanced to the second round of the league tournament in Nashville. The Bulldogs return All-SEC standout Quinndary Weatherspoon, who totaled a team-high 16.5 points, and Lamar Peters, who was tabbed to the SEC All-Freshman team after averaging 10.7 points.
This past year, the SEC posted an 11-5 NCAA Tournament record and had three teams advance to the Elite Eight, with South Carolina making its first Final Four.
