Trip To Orange Beach Caps MSU’s Spring Slate This Saturday

STARKVILLE, Miss. – With only one exhibition remaining, the Mississippi State soccer team travels to Orange Beach, Ala., on Saturday as the Bulldogs officially close the spring slate against South Alabama at 6 p.m. CT.
Both teams enter Saturday's contest unbeaten this spring, with the match marking the final exhibition of the year for both clubs. State took 2016's regular-season contest against USA, after earning a 2-1 win in Mobile
Last time out, MSU continued its impressive offensive display as the Bulldogs downed Southern Miss, 3-1. Before the win over USM, the Bulldogs blanked Troy on Feb. 25 and Auburn on March 4.
Saturday's match against USA will be a great test for the Bulldogs as the Jaguars have also been impressive this spring. USA has posted wins over West Florida, Alabama State and USM, while earning a scoreless draw with the University of Mobile to open the spring.

The spring slate will be officially concluded for the Bulldogs after Saturday's exhibition, with the focus shifting to the summer and offseason training for the Maroon and White beginning in July.
