Meanwhile, it's also a big week for the future of Mississippi State football, as spring practice begins tomorrow, and just yesterday we announced a four-year contract extension for Coach Mullen, keeping him in Starkville all the way through February of 2021. I've said this before, but Coach Mullen is one of the best in the country at what he does, coaching our student-athletes to success both on the field and off. His record of achievement since taking over here in 2009 speaks for itself, the longevity of his career speaking to the commitment he has made to MSU. We are all very happy to reaffirm that commitment on MSU's end, and certainly we are all excited to see what Coach Mullen continues to do as the man leading Bulldog Football.

Coach Howland only has one senior on his young team this year, but he's a special one, to be sure. I hope all of you will join us in celebrating the career of I.J. Ready as we honor him on Senior Night Saturday just before our 5 p.m. tipoff against LSU to close out the regular season. I.J. has been a model student-athlete and a tremendous leader for our program as he's helped through the transition of a new coaching staff and now aided in the development of the highest-rated signing class in school history. We'll miss having I.J. around, but we look forward to one final game with him at The Hump this weekend.

Before even mentioning their ranking, I should say congratulations to Coach Daryl Greenan and our women's tennis team on their fifth-straight win over the weekend. Our ladies are 7-1 on the season, and now ranked No. 33 in the country heading into SEC play at home this weekend.
Meanwhile, Coach Matt Roberts and our men's tennis team took down two ranked teams over the weekend, helping them climb to a season-high No. 14 national ranking this week.
Our women's team hosts No. 6 Auburn on Friday at 3 p.m. and No. 34 Alabama on Sunday at 1 p.m. at the A.J. Pitts Tennis Centre, so I hope you'll join us to support the team as they begin SEC play. We wish good luck to our men this weekend as they travel to Auburn, then we welcome them back to campus Tuesday for a doubleheader against Alcorn State at 1:30 p.m. and 4 p.m.

BULLY PULPIT WELCOMES COACH MULLEN
In a bout of good timing for our host Matt Wyatt, The Bully Pulpit has Coach Mullen as this week's guest with spring football beginning and his new contract officially signed. You can listen to our former quarterback and current head coach talk all things football by clicking here, or by searching "Hail State" on iTunes and SoundCloud.
