#FromStateToSundays: School-Record Three Bulldogs in NFL Pro Bowl

ORLANDO, Fla. – Defensive tackle Fletcher Cox, quarterback Dak Prescott and linebacker K.J. Wright make up a school-record three former Mississippi State players who will compete in the 2017 NFL Pro Bowl at 7 p.m. CT Sunday live on ESPN.
It's the second time that multiple former Bulldogs are in the Pro Bowl. In 1963, halfback Ode Burrell and linebacker Joe Fortunato played in the all-star game.
"I'm proud of all three of those guys for what they have accomplished," said Dan Mullen, who coached Cox, Prescott and Wright at MSU. "They are not only great leaders on their teams, they are role models in their communities and have been tremendous ambassadors for our program. To see how they have developed since they first arrived in Starkville is special, and I know they have many great NFL years ahead of them."
Prescott, who this time last year was earning Senior Bowl MVP honors, is the first Dallas Cowboys rookie quarterback to be selected to the Pro Bowl. He is the first former MSU offensive player to reach the Pro Bowl since wide receiver Eric Moulds played in the 2003 contest.
"I have expectations for myself, but just to be here is great and humbling," Prescott said. "This is fun. There's nothing else I'd rather do than come out here and play football."
Cox is making his second straight Pro Bowl appearance and is just the fourth interior defensive lineman in Philadelphia Eagles history to earn multiple Pro Bowl honors. Cox finished his fifth NFL season with 43 tackles and 6.5 sacks. The former first-team All-Southeastern Conference recipient has already accumulated 41.5 tackles for loss and 28.5 sacks in his career.
Wright is making his first career Pro Bowl appearance after recording a career-best 126 tackles and four sacks this season. The former 2011 fourth-round pick has racked up more than 100 tackles in each of the last three seasons and reached two Super Bowls.
