New "Bully Pulpit" Podcast Featuring Will Clark on iTunes, SoundCloud
January 18, 2017 | Athletics
STARKVILLE, Miss. -- Mississippi State fans can now listen to a new weekly podcast "Bully Pulpit," featuring unique guests and stories surrounding Bulldog Athletics.
The weekly podcast is available on MSU's SoundCloud and iTunes pages. Fans can bookmark Soundcloud.com/HailState or search "Mississippi State Athletics" in the iTunes store. "Bully Pulpit" is hosted by Matt Wyatt of the MSU Sports Network and will feature Director of Athletics John Cohen and Hail State BEAT's Bob Carskadon interviewing guests on occasion.
Wyatt and Cohen interviewed Diamond Dawg legend Will Clark on this week's edition of "Bully Pulpit." Clark discussed who he modeled his swing after, comparing numbers on the different generations of baseball, his magical 1989 NLCS, the reunion of the 1985 MSU squad, on what he would do if he was MLB commissioner for a day and what Ron Polk meant to him.
"It was a lot of fun being a Bulldog," Clark said during the interview. "I enjoyed walking out on the field every day with Mississippi State on my jersey. The three years I was there, we were top five all three years. You knew everybody was gunning for you. That's exactly the kind of baseball I wanted to play. I wanted to walk out there and say hey 'we have to earn this today boys.' It really did play into my decision-making on why I chose to go to Mississippi State."
