McDonald Notches Top-30 Finish At LPGA Evian Championship

EVIAN-LES-BAINS, France – Former Mississippi State All-American Ally McDonald proved she can compete against the world's best professional golfers after tying for 30th at the LPGA's Evian Championship in France.
The Fulton, Miss., native carded 12 birdies en route to finishing the LPGA's final major of the season with a 1-under 283.
McDonald had a strong opening round, shooting a 70. Her best round came Friday, where she fired three birdies and had only one bogey en route to a 69.
She turned in back-to-back 72 scorecards the final two rounds. Sunday, McDonald overcame two bogeys in her first six holes to finish the final 12 holes 1-under.
McDonald, who finished six shots out of the Top 10, currently ranks third on the Symetra Tour's Volvik Race for the Card money list with three events remaining. The Top 10 earn LPGA cards for 2017.
In Gee Chun won the tournament at 21-under that set a major tournament record in relation to par for men or women.
