Children's of Mississippi Kid Captain of the Week: JoJo Linder
September 01, 2016 | Football
Kid Captain is a partnership between Children's of Mississippi and the Mississippi State Bulldogs to honor pediatric patients and celebrate their inspirational stories. Their strength and determination reminds us how truly courageous these young people are. We are pleased to introduce this week's Children's of Kid Captain!
Joelle Lindner – Starkville, MS
Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, or A.L.L., is a type of cancer that requires ongoing intensive treatment for two to three years. Starkville native Joelle Lindner, "Jojo" to those who know her, began the fight against A.L.L. in June of 2013. After experiencing severe leg pain, her local doctor referred her to Children's of Mississippi where the Children's Cancer Center team rallied around Jojo to provide the best possible care. In between treatments, Jojo enjoys attending MSU sporting events, singing in children's choir, and spending time with her family and friends.
Children's of Mississippi is proud to have Jojo as the Kid Captain for this week's game.
