Cowbell Yell Set For 9 p.m. Thursday in Davis Wade Stadium

STARKVILLE, Miss. -- With the 2016 Mississippi State football season rapidly approaching, the Student Association and Mississippi State Athletics will again partner to host the sixth annual "Cowbell Yell" at Davis Wade Stadium on Thursday, September 1 at 9 p.m. CT.
Bulldog fans of all ages are encouraged to celebrate in the season kick-off tradition that is Cowbell Yell. Free t-shirts will be available to the first 1,000 students in attendance.
Cowbell Yell, the season's kick-off pep rally, will feature the Famous Maroon Band, MSU spirit groups, the football coaching staff, the Bully mascot Jak, and guest appearances former Bulldog football players John Bond and Cameron Lawrence.
The event will include the debut of the team intro video and a new crowd-focused element to the football pre-game show, as well as a look into the history and tradition of how the cowbell became a piece of Mississippi State history.
Fans waiting for the stadium gates to open at 8 p.m. should line up with their cowbells outside Gate F at the northwest corner of Davis Wade Stadium.
Several Maroon Memories fan experiences will be available for purchase beginning at Noon on Aug. 29, including items such as early entry passes and photos with the featured speakers. For more information, visit HailState.com/memories.
