BATON ROUGE, La. – After firing a 73 in the first round of the NCAA Regional Tournament, Jessica Peng tailed a 75 in round two, leading her to a T25 finish on the day. Staying only two strokes out of the second place individual player, Meghan MacLauren from FIU, Peng remains in the Top 3 cutoff marker to advance to the NCAA Championship. She recorded three pars on her first three holes before notching two consecutive bogeys, only to drain a birdie on hole 7. Ji Eun Baik rounded out her day two strokes better than her first round by firing a 76. She started her day with five-consecutive pars ending her first nine holes 3-over-par. After the turn she made up for the +3 by firing two birdies and ending the back nine even. She is currently tied for 55. “I tried to enjoy the day as much as possible because I was putting too much pressure on myself yesterday and beginning of today,” Baik said. "Even though it hurts to know that I have a lot to make up to even have a chance to go to nationals, I didn't want to leave the course without putting up a fight.” The two start the final round of the NCAA Regionals Saturday at 8 a.m.
