MSU Softball To Host Summer Camps
May 25, 2016 | Softball
A pitching and catching camp will take place June 11-12, followed by a hitting camp June 13-14. A youth day camp will highlight June 18-20. The summer camps will conclude on July 16-19 with an elite skills camp.
The pitching and catching camps are designed to provide intensive instruction into both pitching and catching, and are available to athletes 10 years old and older. The athletes will have the opportunity to work in an individualized manner to improve their pitching and catching skills.
The hitting clinic will provide in-depth instruction on how to be a better hitter. The camp is two full days of hitting skills and drills, and will build from the fundamentals of hitting to the advanced aspects. The camp is open to athletes 10 years old and older.
The youth day camp is available for youth 12 years and under. Each day is packed with softball drills, games, and fun. The athletes will have an opportunity to work on all aspects of the game, and there will be activities to keep them busy throughout the day.
Finally, the elite camp is designed to cover all aspects of the game of softball, including mechanics, skills and dozens of drills. In addition, the athletes will learn advanced skills and have the opportunity to scrimmage everyday. The athletes will also have the opportunity to work with some of the top coaches in Mississippi and the country, along with current and former Mississippi State softball players. This camp is open to athletes 12 years and older.
