
No. 22 State/Middle Tennessee Doubleheader Postponed

STARKVILLE, Miss. - Due to a majority of the Middle Tennessee roster being sidelined with a flu virus, Thursday's regularly scheduled softball doubleheader between the Blue Raiders and 22nd-ranked Mississippi State at the MSU Softball Field has been rescheduled. The twinbill will now be played in Starkville on March 28 at 2 p.m., MSU head coach Jay Miller announced Wednesday afternoon.
Mississippi State (21-6) will be back in action on Saturday afternoon when the Bulldogs open Southeastern Conference play with a three-game series at Arkansas (12-10, 1-2 SEC). The squads will meet one another for the 35th time in a 1 p.m. Saturday afternoon doubleheader at Lady ?€˜Back Yard and will close out the weekend set on Sunday with a 1 p.m. single game.
Mississippi State is 21-13 all-time against Arkansas and has captured seven of the last 10 meetings with the Lady Razorbacks.
