State's Series With Kentucky Altered Due To Expected Rain

STARKVILLE, Miss. -- With heavy rain expected to move into the Starkville area Saturday, the regularly scheduled series between the Mississippi State and Kentucky softball teams has been altered. The two will now begin their set with a 4 p.m. doubleheader on Friday and conclude with a single game on Saturday at 1 p.m.
With the movement, only Saturday's single game can be heard live on WMSV 91.1 FM because of scheduling conflicts late Friday afternoon and Friday evening. Every game can be followed in progress, however, via a live stats link at the official Internet home of the Mississippi State athletic department, www.MStateAthletics.com.
Mississippi State's (18-15, 0-6 SEC) series with the Wildcats (12-22, 1-8) will begin a nine-game homestand for the Maroon and White that will extend into next week's series against LSU and Auburn. MSU's series finale with the Tigers on April 3 is slated to be broadcast live by SEC-TV (Fox SportsNet South).
