SEC Announces Game Time Changes For SEC Softball Tournament

Bulldogs Will Now Face Tennessee In Tournament Opener At 11 a.m. On May 13
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. -- Seventh-seeded Mississippi State will face No. 2 seed Tennessee in the SEC Tournament opener in a revised bracket released Monday afternoon by the league office in Birmingham, Ala.
Because the Bulldogs will face the highest seed in its portion of the bracket, State and the Lady Vols will square off on Thursday, May 13 at 11 a.m. in game one of the postseason gala. Third-seeded Georgia will battle No. 6 seed Florida in the 1:30 p.m. game which was originally slotted for the MSU/UT contest.
Thursday's opening round will still be concluded by No. 1 seed and SEC Regular Season champion LSU battling No. 8 seed South Carolina in game three at 5 p.m., followed by host and No. 5 seed Alabama taking on fourth-seeded Auburn in the nightcap at 7:30 p.m.
The 2004 SEC Tournament, which will make its first appearance at a campus site this season, runs from May 13-16 in Tuscaloosa, Ala. Tournament passes can be purchased for 40 dollars for adults and 30 dollars for youth. Day of game passes can be purchased for 10 dollars.
