Browne Sets New 100M School Record At Canadian Nationals

EDMONTON, Alberta -- MSU junior sprinter Pierre Browne broke the school's 100-meter dash record in competition at the 2002 Canadian Track & Field Championships.
The Toronto native ran the 100m in a wind-aided 9.98, breaking the old school record held by Lorenzo Daniel set in 1986 and 1988.
In other action, freshman Meggan Hodge placed third in the 3000-meter steeplechase (11:35.94) and finished ninth in the 5000 meters (19:04.53).
Browne will compete in the 200-meters on Sunday at Foote Field in Edmonton.
