Lady Bulldogs Travel To Baton Rouge, La., For NCAA East Regional

STARKVILLE, Miss. -- The Mississippi State women's golf team is set to participate in the NCAA East Regional, hosted by Louisiana State. Tournament play begins Thursday and runs through Saturday at the par-72 University Club in Baton Rouge, La. The Lady Bulldogs, currently ranked 36th nationally, are seeded 13th in the 21-team regional.
Head coach Christi Sanders takes a lineup consisting of senior Anna Gertsson, junior Anna Knutsson and three freshmen -- Natalie Booth, Beth Irwin and Janet Dyer. Playing in the school's second-ever NCAA Regional, the Lady Bulldogs tee off Thursday at 11:50 a.m.
Participating teams are as follows (in order of seed): Auburn, Georgia, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Florida, South Carolina, Wake Forest, Furman, North Carolina, Louisiana State, Tulane, Mississippi State, Memphis, Texas A&M, Central Florida, Alabama, South Florida, North Carolina State, Yale and Jackson State.
