Men's Track Moves To 10th In Latest Rankings

The Bulldogs opened the outdoor season ranked fifth and have fallen as low as 11th during the outdoor season. The squad is currently tied for 10th with Texas Christian and SEC foe Georgia.
The Southeastern Conference holds the top three spots and seven of the top 10. All told, the SEC has nine schools in the top 25 with none below the 14th spot.
The Bulldogs have the first weekend of May off to prepare for the 2002 SEC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, which are being hosted by Mississippi State University.
Action gets underway on Thursday, May 9, at W.O. Spencer Stadium/Carl Maddox Track with the decathlon and heptathlon competition. Admission for Thursday's events is free.
