Lady Bulldogs Have Good Opening Day At Penn Relays

The Lady Bulldogs had their best showing of the day in the meet's first race, the 400-meter hurdles. Senior CeCe Brown once again set the MSU record in the 400m hurdles, circling the track in 1:01.05. The Vaiden, Miss., native finished in 15th place.
Freshman Crystal Averitt also took a top 20 spot on the day's action. She took 16th in the discus with a throw of 134-11.
Collegiate action begins again Friday with the 4x100m relay preliminaries for men at noon at Franklin Field.
