May 25, 2016 | Track & Field
MSU's 11th-ranked men's team is coming off impressive performances at the Mt. SAC Relays last weekend. The Bulldogs' 4x100m relay team of freshman Glenn McFadden, sophomore Marquis Davis, senior Dion Crabbe and junior Pierre Browne won their sixth race together this season with an automatic qualifying time of 39.16.
The team also added two more NCAA qualifiers in the 200-meter dash with Davis and Browne's marks of 20.68 and 20.70, respectively, in Walnut, Calif. Both will be in action in the 100-meter dash this weekend.
The women will be led by their distance contingent and freshman Tiffany McWilliams. The Red Bay, Ala., native ran a school-record 1500m at Mt. SAC last weekend and provisionally qualified for the NCAAs with her 4:23.00 timing.
Also looking for a strong performance this weekend is senior all-American Camille Harper. Harper is looking to improve her time in the 100m and once again qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
Events start Thursday at Franklin Field at 10 a.m. with the college women's 400-meter hurdles and women's discus.
