Lady Bulldogs Return To Athens, Ga., For The SEC Championships

STARKVILLE, Miss. -- The Mississippi State women's golf team returns to Athens, Ga., for the second time in a month, this time to participate in the 2002 Southeastern Conference Championships. Tournament action will begin Friday, April 19, at the par-72 University Golf Course.
MSU head coach Christi Sanders takes a squad consisting of senior Anna Gertsson, junior Anna Knutsson and three freshmen: Natalie Booth, Beth Irwin and Janet Dyer.
The Lady Bulldogs last played at the University Golf Course in Athens, Ga., on March 22-24, participating in the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic. MSU placed seventh with a score of 919, while Gertsson tied for second after carding a 217.
All 12 conference schools are set to participate this weekend, with tee times starting at 8:30 a.m. on Friday.
