Lady Bulldogs In Seventh After Two Rounds At LSU/Cleveland Golf Classic

BATON ROUGE, La. -- The Mississippi State women's golf team shot a 309 on Friday and a 304 on Saturday for a score of 613 at the LSU/Cleveland Golf Classic. The Lady Bulldogs stand in seventh place with one round left to play at the par-72 University Club in Baton Rouge, La.
Four of the five MSU golfers are within one stroke of each other, led by freshman Beth Irwin, who has carded a 153 over the course of two days to place tied for 19th in the individual competition. Senior Anna Gertsson, junior Anna Knutsson and freshman Natalie Booth are all tied for 23rd with each golfer registering a 154, while freshman Janet Dyer has shot a 162 and is tied for 50th.
Auburn leads the tournament with a score of 579, and Auburn's Celeste Troche is in first place in the individual competition with a score of 141.
Play concludes Sunday with 18 holes left to play at the LSU/Cleveland Golf Classic.
