Crabbe, Davis Advance To 100M Finals In Texas Relays

AUSTIN, Texas -- The 15th-ranked Mississippi State men's track team sprint corps once again showed its strength, with Dion Crabbe and Marquis Davis advancing to the finals of the 100-meter dash Saturday at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays.
The senior Crabbe ranked fifth with sophomore teammate Davis eighth after the preliminary round of competition in the 100m at Myers Stadium on the campus of the University of Texas.
Davis and Crabbe joined up with freshman Glenn McFadden and junior Pierre Browne to take fourth place in the preliminaries of the 4x100-meter relay. Their time of 39.83 was the team's second-best time of the season, ranking behind their winning mark of 39.29 at the Alabama Relays.
Junior Pierre Browne will also be in action Saturday in the invitational section of the 100-meter dash. Browne, coming into the weekend, owned the second-fast 100m timing in the country with a 10.13 mark in the outdoor opening SEC Quadrangular.
The teams complete competition in Austin Saturday at Mike A. Myers Stadium.
