The Moss Point native ran the grueling race in 37:45.80, a personal-best time for her.
The men's team also had a respectable showing in the 10,000 meters, with senior Tommy Barksdale finishing 19th (32:55.60) and freshman Michael Landry taking 25th (35:20.00).
The men's team will look for solid performances Saturday and Sunday from their relay units, including the 4x100m team that provisionally qualified for the NCAAs last weekend at the SEC Quadrangular.
The women look to be led again by their distance corps. Freshmen Tiffany McWilliams and Meggan Hodge look to attain qualifying times in the 800 and 5000 meters, respectively.
The teams will be back in action Saturday at the Sam Bailey Track & Field Complex on the University of Alabama campus.
