Lady Bulldogs Travel To Participate In Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic

STARKVILLE, Miss. -- The Mississippi State women's golf team travels to Athens, Ga., this weekend to participate in the 30th Annual Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic. The tournament will be played at the par-72 University Golf Course.
MSU head coach Christi Sanders will take a lineup consisting of junior Anna Knutsson, senior Anna Gertsson, and three freshmen: Natalie Booth, Beth Irwin and Janet Dyer. Knutsson led MSU in the team's previous tournament, the Green Wave Golf Classic, finishing in a career-best second place.
Joining Mississippi State at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic are Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Coastal Carolina, East Carolina, Florida, Furman, host Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana State, Memphis, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nebraska, North Carolina, South Carolina and Wake Forest.
The Lady Bulldogs tee off at 9:40 a.m. on Friday with 18 holes of action scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
