Lady Bulldogs In Fifth On The Links At SunTrust Lady Gator Invitational

Senior Anna Gertsson leads MSU, carding a 71 at the par-70 University Golf Course, and is tied for fifth in the individual competition. She is only two strokes behind the leader. Following Gertsson, freshmen Janet Dyer and Beth Irwin each carded a 76 and are tied for 24th. Dyer's 76 is her lowest single round score in her short MSU career. Junior Anna Knutsson shot a 78 and is in 39th, while freshman Natalie Booth rounds out the MSU lineup with a 79, good for 53rd.
Host school Florida, Georgia and Louisiana State are tied for the lead with a score of 298, while LSU's Meredith Duncan leads the individual competition with a score of 69.
Play resumes on Saturday and will conclude on Sunday with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.
