Theron, Peng Lead MSU To Top 10 Finish On Day two

BATON ROUGE – After a great first round on Sunday in The LSU Tiger Classic, the Mississippi State women's golf team closed out Monday's play in 10th place with a 313 scorecard.
“We learned a lot out there today, both in the amount of shots required and the difficulty of the course,” MSU coach Ginger Brown-Lemm said. “We didn't let it break our spirits though, and we plan to finish strong in the final round tomorrow.”
Tying each other for the second-straight day, Jessica Peng and Bianca Theron totaled one shot better than their first round's card, shooting 77's on Monday. They finished the first nine holes four-over-par, but shot only one over on the back nine to end the day tied for 35th.
Ji Eun Biak remains in the Top 20 individually at T20 after firing an 81.
Izel Pieters and Katie Holt shot 78 and 85 respectively while individual Logan Chaney totaled an 88 on the day.
The Bulldogs will be back in action Tuesday for the Final round of the LSU Tiger Classic.
