With the fall semester now officially finished, I'd like to begin by congratulating not just our graduates but all of our student-athletes who completed another semester of classes. We had multiple 4.0 students this semester, a particularly impressive accomplishment given the demanding balance of education and athletics. Safe travels to those who are headed home for the Christmas break, and to those who remain on campus with their teams, we look forward to cheering you on.
On that note, a reminder that tickets are still available to see our football Bulldogs – now featuring several All-SEC players from various outlets – in the St. Petersburg Bowl on December 26, while the option also remains to donate your tickets if you are unable to make the game yourself. Visit www.hailstate.com/tickets for more information.

WELCOME COACH ANAGNOST TO SOCCER PROGRAM
I ask all of you to join me in extending a big and warm welcome to Tom Anagnost as the fifth head coach of Mississippi State soccer. I'm thrilled to have Coach Anagnost on board as he joins us after helping lead North Carolina State to a Sweet 16 berth as an assistant on their staff last season.
Coach Anagnost has a strong history of not just getting the most out of players on the field, but of helping them to be their best off the field in the classroom and in their lives. We're excited to have him heading our program.

MEN'S BASKETBALL RETURNS TO THE HUMP
After a lengthy break for final exams, Coach Howland and our men's basketball team are back in action with two games over the next week. Make plans to join us at Humphrey Coliseum tonight against East Tennessee State if you haven't already as we're offering a special holiday price of five dollars per ticket.
Additionally, a call goes to all our Jackson area and beyond Bulldogs to fill up the Mississippi Coliseum in Jackson on Monday as we play Southern Miss at 8 p.m. I know our team is excited to return to the capital city and to play an in-state foe.
It's been said by others, but this young and very talented team is deserving of our support every game. I look forward to seeing all of you in both places.

NO. 5 WOMEN'S BASKETBALL ON THE ROAD
A big, big congratulations goes to Coach Schaefer for securing his 100th win as head coach at MSU, an impressive accomplishment in such a short time. The milestone came last night as our Bulldogs beat Arkansas-Little Rock and helped him become the fastest ever to hit 100 at MSU.
Coach Schaefer's team is 10-0 now and absolutely on fire as they hit the final stretch of the non-conference slate. Good luck to the ladies this weekend as they travel to Los Angeles for more marquee matchups.
We appreciate what you do for Mississippi State Athletics and want to encourage you to get others involved. There are three things you can do to help the athletic department at Mississippi State reach its desired goals –
1. Buy Season Tickets
2. Financially Support the Bulldog Club
3. Get Others To Do The Same
Thanks for taking the time to read this Update. Â
Hail State!
