Holloway Named To SEC Football Community Service Team

STARKVILLE, Miss. – A three-time member of the Southeastern Conference Academic Honor Roll, Mississippi State senior Brandon Holloway was named to the SEC Football Community Service Team, the league office announced Wednesday.
The SEC names a Community Service Team for each of its 21-league sponsored sports, looking to highlight an athlete from each school who gives back to his community through superior service efforts.
Since the summer of 2015, Holloway has volunteered at 15 different community events. This fall, he participated at the Henderson Walk to School Day with elementary kids and the TK Martin Center's Super Fun Run. Previously, he visited with patients at Levine Children's Hospital and Mississippi State Dance Marathon (a movement of Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, a non-profit organization that raises funds and awareness for more than 170 pediatric hospitals). He has also volunteered time towards the Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign and at Camp Rising Sun. He was also MSU's representative for the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team and Wuerffel Trophy.
A triple-threat on the field, Holloway has seen time at running back, wide receiver and in the kick return game not only this season, but for the majority of his time as a Bulldog. In 2016, Holloway is averaging 4.5 yards per carry, 6.6 yards per catch, 22.8 yards per return and 76.9 all-purpose yards per game for MSU.
