Happy Wednesday, Bulldogs. After a break for road games and the off date, it's finally game week again for Mississippi State football. We've got a big weekend in Starkville, not just as Coach Mullen's football team hosts Auburn, but with all the events surrounding Bulldog Bash and three more of our teams hosting games on campus this weekend.
As the weekend approaches, a reminder that Saturday's game kicks off at 11 a.m., so the Dawg Walk will take place in The Junction at 9 a.m. Our players have said often how much it means to them to see the crowd cheering for them when they step off the bus, so let's make sure and create the atmosphere both outside and inside the stadium that we've become so well known for. And remember – Saturday is our True Maroon game, so make sure to wear maroon. Limited tickets are still available, so make sure to visit www.hailstate.com/tickets to reserve yours.
In addition to the usual pre-game schedule, we have a flyover scheduled for Saturday morning, which includes a jump team who will parachute onto the field.
Oh, and don't forget about Bulldog Bash on Friday night. The first act takes the stage at 7:30 in the Cotton District in front of Bulldog Burger Company, with headliner Flo Rida scheduled to begin at 10:30. Coaches Howland and Schaefer are planning on making an appearance, as well, once the festivities get underway.

SOCCER, VOLLEYBALL HIGHLIGHT HOME WEEKEND
Before going any further, a big congratulations is in order for Coach David McFatrich and the ladies of our volleyball team who, by beating Alabama on Sunday, secured the best start to SEC play in program history. The team has been impressive in its second season under Coach Fatch and you can catch them at home this weekend as they host Kentucky on Friday night at 7. For our students, this match counts for double the usual Hail State Rewards points.
Meanwhile, Coach Aaron Gordon and the soccer team are coming off a big win of their own after downing Alabama in a tight 1-0 game on Sunday. The ladies return to action in Starkville on Thursday as they host South Carolina. Play begins at 7 p.m. and it is our annual Breast Cancer Awareness Game, as well as Greek Night. Make sure to stick around on Sunday, too, when soccer plays Auburn at 2 p.m. here on campus.

FALL BASEBALL, SOFTBALL BEGINNING
While we are certainly in the throes of fall sports, it's already time to start thinking about spring and the diamond. Coach Cohen and the defending SEC Champions announced their fall ball schedule with scrimmages beginning next week. Meanwhile, Coach Stuedeman and our softball team have already begun fall exhibition play and host Mississippi College on Friday night in Nusz Park at 6:30. View their fall schedule here.

WRAPPING UP THIS WEEK'S UPDATE IN MAROON AND WHITE
- We've sold over 5,700 season tickets for men's basketball this season, well ahead of last year's pace. A reminder that tickets are still available but are running out fast.
- On a similar note, we are close to a school-record 3,000 season tickets sold for our women's basketball team. If you haven't yet purchased yours, be sure to do so soon.
- And finally, congratulations to our cross country teams after three-straight Top-10 finishes by our women. We wish them good luck this weekend as they compete in Tuscaloosa.
We appreciate what you do for Mississippi State Athletics and want to encourage you to get others involved. There are three things you can do to help the athletic department at Mississippi State reach its desired goals –
1. Buy Season Tickets
2. Financially Support the Bulldog Club
3. Get Others To Do The Same
Thanks for taking the time to read this Update. Â
Hail State!
