MSU set to play in the Greenville Regional Preview

STARKVILLLE, Miss. — Two weeks after playing in South Carolina, the Mississippi State women's golf team heads to Greenville, N.C., Monday and Tuesday to play in the Greenville Regional Preview.
MSU will play 36 holes Monday on the par-72, 6,122-yard Brook Valley Country Club before wrapping with a final 18 holes on Tuesday. The tournament opens with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. CT each day.

The Bulldogs will take the same lineup from the Cougar Classic to Greenville, while Kendall Wisenbaker will see her first action since last season's UCF Challenge.
"We look forward to playing Brook Valley Country Club in Greenville, N.C.," MSU coach Ginger Brown-Lemm said. "We are growing and learning daily and look forward to this top-tier competition."
MSU will be the lone SEC team in the 16-team field. In addition to host East Carolina and the Bulldogs, the field will also include Augusta, Campbell, Clemson, Colorado State, Denver, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas State, Middle Tennessee, Old Dominion, Oregon, TCU and Virginia Tech.
Senior Jessica Peng will once again look to pace the Bulldogs after wrapping the Cougar Classic tied for 34th at 219. Fellow senior Ji Eun Baik looks to bounce back this week after tallying a 221 that tied her for 50th in Charleston, S.C.
Freshmen Athena Yang and Teri Doss return to the links for the third time in as many events. Doss will be competing as an individual in the tournament.
Sophomore Katie Holt rounds out the lineup, heading to Greenville seeking to build on a season-low 72 in the final round of the Cougar Classic.
Mississippi State is set to tee off Monday, October 17th with round one beginning at eight am and concluding with the final round Tuesday, the 18th.
