
Softball Announces Pitching Clinic With Keilani Ricketts

STARKVILLE, Miss. – Entering her fifth season at the helm of the Mississippi State softball program, head coach Vann Stuedeman and first-year volunteer assistant Keilani Ricketts have announced a fall pitching clinic set for Sunday, Nov. 22 with registration now open.
Coming off four-straight NCAA Tournament appearances with 33-plus wins in each campaign, Stuedeman will direct the camp with Ricketts, graduate assistant Rachel Fox and the entire Bulldog pitching staff.
Ricketts brings experience from the professional, national and collegiate levels. During her time at the University of Oklahoma, she led the Sooners to the 2013 national championship while being named Most Outstanding Player of the Women's College World Series. She was a four-time NFCA All-American and the 2012 and 2013 USA Softball Player of the Year. She also received the 2012 and 2013 Honda Award for Softball followed by the 2013 Honda Cup Award given to the best collegiate athlete in any sport. Keilani played two years with USA Softball which included winning the 2011 World Cup of Softball. She then joined the USSSA Pride of the National Pro Fastpitch league in 2013 where she just completed her third season having won two NPF championships. Keilani also currently competes with Toyota Shokki of the Japanese Pro Softball League in Kariya, Japan.
Fox comes to the Bulldogs after two seasons at the University of Texas before two at Texas A&M University where she served as the Friday/Sunday starter for the Aggies during her senior season this past spring. Fox made four NCAA Regional appearances and one NCAA Super Regional appearance in her collegiate career.
The camp is open to softball players, grades seven through 12, who are looking for in-depth, personalized instruction on pitching. The clinic will be held inside the Palmeiro Center on MSU's campus and enrollment is on a first-come first-serve basis with registration taking place solely at HailState.com.
Check-in will open at noon with the camp set to last from 1-4 p.m. Following the camp will be a picture and autograph session.

Athletes must have either the physician's statement signed be a licensed physician or a recent physical (within one calendar year of the time of the clinic) to be able to participate. The personal insurance form must also be completed and presented on the day of the clinic during registration. These forms can be found on the HailState.com camp registration website.
