Entry Two – July 1, 2015
HELLO BULLDOG FANS,
We are currently in Denver, Colorado. I am currently writing you after a beautiful hike in Jefferson County. We set up our enos (hammocks), and relaxed before our game this evening. And when I say relaxing, I mean slipping on rocks in the mountains. We are playing a six game series against the Dallas Charge. The majority of our games are all over Colorado at different softball facilities, which is pretty nice to get to travel across such a beautiful state. Our last two games will be in Dallas, which will be nice since we have never had the opportunity to play there.
I got to see assistant coaches Bratton and Ricketts yesterday! They didn't even know we were playing there so it was a nice surprise for all of us. They make me feel like I'm at home and I really needed that this week. We travel quite often so there is not a lot of time for family and friends. I always love seeing familiar faces and introducing them to my incredible teammates. I am having the time of my life during my second season and I am so fortunate to be a part of this journey.
Anyways, BACK TO SOFTBALL, we play tonight and I am so excited. We won the first two games but today is a new day to play the sport we love. We are growing as a team and only getting stronger ... It is so much fun to watch. I have been keeping up with our construction and I am PUMPED. I couldn't be more proud to be a Mississippi State Alumni. Clearly, since I just hiked in a Mississippi State tank top. :-)
Look up our schedule at www.akronracers.org and keep up with us as much as you can. We love your support and constant encouragement. We really do.
Beginning another note, I am now a sport ambassador for the National Down Syndrome Society!!! I am so excited to have such a great opportunity and be able to help in anyway I can. I am looking for donations to go towards NDSS theres a link below for donations. Remember, EVERY DOLLAR COUNTS towards someone's life.
Rest in Peace sweet Marley!!! <3

I couldn't be more thankful,
