HELLO BULLDOG FANS!
I just want to let all of you know how honored I am to be a Bulldog. My journey has been unique, yes, but very rewarding and full of new adventures. The time I had at Mississippi State is something that will never be replicated or forgotten. There is nothing like putting on a maroon uniform and playing for one of the most blue collar teams in the country.
For those of you who follow, I am currently in my second season with the Akron Racers. I am so grateful for the opportunity to play for such an amazing team that is led by spectacular management and staff. The fan base in Akron is similar to StarkVegas. The atmosphere around our stadium is full of love and joy for our team and it truly feels like home. I know a lot of you keep in touch from a far, which is felt as well!
Although we did get to play the majority of our games for our opening weekend, due to weather conditions, it did not go as planned. It rains here...ALL THE TIME. We can never seem to get away from it and when it rains, IT POURS. We manage our practices around the weather but we always find time to get our "a little a lots in" and focus on what we need to accomplish for that week. I truly enjoy our practices and comradery as a team. We really enjoy being around each other.
I got to see Iyhia McMichael again, which was an absolute honor. She was a STUD Mississippi State softball player and a 2005 NPF champion with the Akron Racers. HOW COOL IS THAT? That was such a nice surprise!!
Charlie, my newest hedgehog, is adapting nicely and loves all of my teammates except for my roommate Jill Barrett. I don't believe he will ever warm up to her...haha. :-)
