McBride Wins 800m Run At Mt. SAC Relays

WALNUT, Calif. – Concluding day three of the Mt. SAC Relays, junior Brandon McBride provided on the many highlights by placing first in the 800m run.
In his 2015 season debut, McBride ran 1:46.28 to claim first.
“We had a couple good wins at this meet,” MSU coach Steve Dudley said. “With each victory our athletes get closer and closer to qualifying for nationals.”
Undefeated in the 400m hurdles so far this season, Scottie Hearn also finished first with a time of 50.20. Teammate Jovan Davis finished behind Hearn in seventh after running a time of 51.80.
Also on the track for the Bulldogs was Alfred Larry in the 400m dash. He finished 12th with a time of 47.01.
The men's 4x400m relay team placed fourth with a time of 3:06.70. Hearn, Larry, McBride and Juston Waters made up the relay team.
Competing in the field for the Maroon and White was senior Marcus Jackson, who had a clearance of 6-11.75 in the high jump to bring home 10th place.
Up next for the Bulldogs are the prestigious Penn Relays and the Southern Miss Invitational. The Penn Relays will take place April 23-25, while the Southern Miss Invitational will be held on April 25.
