Tuesday Game At Lipscomb Canceled For Softball

STARKVILLE, MISS. – The Mississippi State softball team's (18-5, 1-2 SEC) mid-week game against Lipscomb (8-10) on Tuesday afternoon in Nashville has been canceled with the expectation for bad weather in the area.
The two programs are currently working to see if a make-up date can be decided on for the game at Draper Diamond.
Coming off its first Southeastern Conference series of the season, State won one of three against No. 8 Georgia this weekend with the Sunday victory having been the most thrilling for State. MSU rallied from four and two-run deficits to beat their top-10 foe, 8-7 in nine innings.
The Maroon & White will next take the field on Wednesday when they travel to Birmingham, Ala. for a 6 p.m. date with Samford.
