TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Just an hour and 25 minutes down Highway 82, the Mississippi State track and field teams compiled a total of eight wins to highlight a successful trip to the Crimson Tide Invitational on Saturday.
"We had a great day in Tuscaloosa and I am very proud of how our teams competed," MSU coach Steve Dudley said. "We had a number of great showings across the board, highlighted by our eight wins. Excited to see our athletes carry this momentum into the rest of the season."
Along with the eight wins, a number of individuals set personal bests throughout the day to help both the women's and men's teams earn top-three finishes. The women, with a total of 109.00 points, placed second for the Invitational, while the men posted a total of 87.00 to finish third.
Host Alabama claimed first in both the women's and men's categories.
