March 23, 2015 | Softball
STARKVILLE, Miss. – In the midst of her fourth season at the helm of the Mississippi State softball program, head coach Vann Stuedeman and her staff have announced their 2015 summer clinic dates with registration now open.
The camps are open to softball players, grades two through 12, who are looking for in-depth, personalized instruction. Clinics will be held at the MSU Softball Field and enrollment is on a first-come first-served basis with registration taking place solely at HailState.com.
Coming off of three-straight NCAA Tournament appearances that have seen 33 or more wins in each campaign, coach Stuedeman will direct the camps along with assistant coaches Sam Ricketts and Tyler Bratton.
The first clinic, which costs $225, will be held June 15-17, with registration open to those grades two through six. This day camp will focus on hitting skills, defensive skills, base running and game strategy. Through daily scrimmages, participants will also get live-game experience in addition to extensive hitting instruction.
Participants in grades seven through 12 can take part in the June 22-25 camp, which will also focus on hitting, defense, base running and game strategy. Two options are available for this camp, commuter ($300) and overnight ($375).
A team camp is also an option, July 7-9, and coaches must email camp coordinator at MSUBulldogSoftballCamp@gmail.com prior to registering online.
Additional information on the clinics, including items included in camp costs, can be found in the clinic brochures. For more information, email MSUBulldogSoftballCamp@gmail.com.
Athletes must have either the Physician's Statement signed be a licensed physician or a recent physical (within one calendar year of the time of the clinic) to be able to participate. The personal insurance form must also be completed and presented on the day of the clinic during registration. These forms can be found on the HailState.com Camp Registration website.
