
MSU Announces 2014 Super Bulldog Weekend Schedule, April 10-13

Kickoff for the Maroon-White spring football game at Davis Wade Stadium will be at noon CT on Saturday, April 12. Admission to the spring football game is free. The Bulldogs, under the direction of sixth-year head coach Dan Mullen, have reached four consecutive bowl games for the first time in school history, and fans will get a glimpse at what promises to be an exciting 2014 squad that returns 18 starters.
Coach John Cohen's Diamond Dogs host rival Ole Miss in a much-anticipated three-game set at Dudy Noble Field with times at 6:30 p.m. Friday, 3 p.m. Saturday and 1:30 p.m. Sunday. The MSU softball team welcomes Alabama in a key Southeastern Conference series at 5 p.m. Friday, 6 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday.
MSU’s nationally ranked men’s tennis team hosts Texas A&M at 1 p.m. Sunday. The MSU volleyball team will play its annual alumni match at 11 a.m. Saturday. Super Bulldog Weekend kicks off Thursday, April 10 when the Bulldog soccer team hosts Alabama in an exhibition at 7 p.m.
The annual pig cooking contest gets underway at 8 a.m. Friday and 9 a.m. Saturday at McArthur Hall on the corner of Barr and Collegeview Streets. The Cotton District Arts Festival, a showcase of art, music and food in Starkville, will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday.
