Heavy Rains Cancel MSU's Bulldog Classic Opener

STARKVILLE, Miss. - Heavy rain showers that entered Starkville Friday afternoon forced the cancellation of Mississippi State's Bulldog Classic opener against Memphis at the MSU Softball Field.
Saturday's schedule is slated to begin at 10 a.m., with the Bulldogs taking on Mississippi Valley State at 2 p.m. and Texas A&M at 4 p.m. Admission to all games at the MSU Softball Field is free.
The Aggies and Delta Devilettes opened the tournament Friday afternoon, with Texas A&M winning 8-2 in a game that was halted following the sixth inning.
