Lady Bulldogs Finish Round One Of Duramed Cougar Classic

STARKVILLE, MISS. - The Mississippi State women's golf team completed its first round of the Duramed Cougar Classic Sunday in Charleston, S.C., firing a team total of 315 to stand in 19th place.
Senior Erika Thornton led the lady Bulldogs with a 5-over-par 77 in the first round. Sophomore Maria Roos finished second on the team with a 78. Senior Mallory Batson and freshman Esther Huffman both shot an 80 in the round while freshman Mary Langdon Gallagher posted an 83.
The Lady Bulldogs will continue the Duramed Cougar Classic Monday, starting at 7:50 a.m. CT.
