
Limited Spots Remain for MSU Softball Camps

Mississippi State Softball Camps
STARKVILLE, Miss. – A limited number of spots remain for Mississippi State's 2010 summer softball camps. The Bulldogs will host the Elite Skills Camp June 14-17 and the Individual Skills Camp July 12-15. Registration for the camps is available online by going to www.mstateathletics.com/camps.

The summer softball camps will feature instruction from the Bulldog coaching staff along with current and former MSU players. Head coach Jay Miller, an NFCA Hall of Fame inductee and head coach of the United States National Team, will lead the camp along with associate head coach Annie Smith and assistant coach Karen Johns, who was recently named head coach of the United States Junior National Team.
State opens the summer session with the Elite Skills Camp. The four-day camp covers all aspects of the game, including mechanics, skills and dozens of drills. Open to ages 12 and up, the camp teaches advanced skills and offers the opportunity to scrimmage each day on the MSU Softball Field.
Mississippi State's Individual Skills Camp, which is open to players age 10 and up, will feature intensive instruction on all aspects of the game of softball. Campers will focus on defensive skills, hitting skills and game strategy. All defensive positions, including pitching and catching, will be covered over the four days along with extensive hitting instruction.
MSU's Individual Skills Camp is aimed to help players develop from the fundamentals of the game to the advanced aspects while having the opportunity to play games each day on the MSU Softball Field.
